Dear St. Mary Families,
Education is not simply the formation of the mind. It is also the formation of the heart.
Children are shaped by what they repeatedly see, admire, imitate, and love. This is one reason Catholic education pays close attention not only to what students learn, but also to the people, stories, traditions, and experiences placed before them.
This week offers several beautiful examples. Our students continue serving others through Mission Warmth. Our middle school young women are invited to consider vocation. Students encounter cultural traditions through our Heritage Month dancers, and together we gather for Mass.
Each of these experiences quietly teaches something about what is worthy of our attention.
As we approach the end of the first quarter, grades and progress certainly matter. But formation asks an even deeper question: What is this child learning to love?
Our hope is that, over time, our students learn to love truth, choose goodness, recognize beauty, serve generously, and respond faithfully to whatever vocation God places before them.
That is the deeper work of Catholic education. Seek Truth. Choose Goodness. Reflect Beauty.
In Christ,
Eric Pfeifer
Principal

As we begin the second quarter on Monday, October 19, please remember that our uniform requirements also change. We ask all families to review the second-quarter uniform guidelines and ensure that students arrive at school dressed in accordance with these expectations.
Consistent adherence to our uniform policy helps foster a culture of order, responsibility, and respect for our school community. Please be mindful that uniform infractions may result in the loss of spirit wear and dress-down privileges.
For specific requirements or questions, please refer to the Parent-Student Handbook.
Thank you for your partnership in helping our students begin the new quarter well!
