Application/Enrollment Timeline

  • January 3 January 26, 2024: Current Student Re-enrollment Period
  • January 5, 2024: Online New Student Application Opens. Click here to apply.
  • January 30, 2024: Discover Catholic Education Night/Open House
  • January 31, 2024: Application Deadline (Round 1)
    • Families may apply anytime after this date, but will not be included in the first round of acceptance review. Any application received after July 1st may not be able to begin the school year on the first day of school. 
  • February 2024: Families will be notified of acceptance status via email. Enrollment information must be completed within 7 days of acceptance
  • March 15, 2024: Tuition Assistance Application Deadline

New Student Application Information

New families: to apply please complete the 2024-2025 Online Application Form (complete one application per student). Families with current St. Mary students should access the application through their FACTS Family Portal (Apply/Enroll, Application). 

  • Your child’s Online Application requires:
    • current and previous year’s report card, 
    • most recent IEP (if applicable), 
    • most recent standardized test scores (if applicable)
  • A nonrefundable FACTS application fee is processed at the time of application. 
  • Tuition information and Tuition Assistance information can be found on our Tuition page. New tuition rates will be published in January 2024.
  • Parents will be contacted by the school office to schedule a shadow day experience, entrance testing, and family interview.

Children’s House Applications: Incoming Children’s House students will be notified in March of their acceptance. Children’s House acceptance is conditional upon the results of the screening and interview process. Please see our Children’s House Page for additional Children’s House information.

Acceptance

Completing the online application does not guarantee placement. Placement is dependent on many factors. You will be notified by office personnel to confirm placement.  Applications for St Mary will be considered in the following order: 

  • Children from families registered in the Sponsoring Parish(es)
    • children with siblings currently/previously enrolled,
    •  children now reaching school age,
    • children from families newly moved into the parish whose children have been in Catholic schools where such were available.
  • Children from non-participating parish families with siblings currently/previously enrolled in school.
  • Children transferring from other Catholic schools:
    • from parish schools that are closing
    • from parishes not offering full K-8 programs
    • schools with a waiting list
  • Children of other faith traditions.

Enrollment

All new students are placed on a 90-day probationary period. Once notified of acceptance, new families must upload, submit, or complete the following within seven days:

  • Pay the Enrollment Deposit. Enrollment Deposit for the 2024-2025 school year is 250$.
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Copy of Catholic baptismal certificate (not needed if baptized at St. Mary Delaware)
  • Online enrollment forms through FACTS Family Portal
  • Custody documentation (if applicable)
  • Tuition agreement completed in FACTS Tuition Management

 

Items needed prior to the first day of school for all new students (Kindergarten needs these forms prior to their Kindergarten Readiness Inventory appointment, scheduled during the summer):

  • Immunization Record provided by the doctor with dates of all immunizations received to this point.
  • Physical Exam – a paper form provided by St. Mary School. The Physician’s Report must be signed by the doctor with the most recent physical exam information. Physical must be within the last year.
