Our Mission & Vision

Our Vision

Abiding in the Mystery of the Eucharist, we proclaim the greatness of the Lord and rejoice in God our Savior. Strengthened by Jesus Christ, we go out to answer His call to build the Kingdom of Heaven through witness, worship and service to all those we encounter.

St. Mary School has been teaching and nurturing generations of students in Delaware County since 1885. Uniting the traditions of the Catholic Church with traditional academia, our private school provides students in preschool through eighth grade a holistic and Christo-centric education that respects the entire person and values the promise of eternal life.

Here your children will find their roots in a caring, nurturing, and rich soil where their whole self—body, mind, and spirit—will grow and thrive.

Accredited by the Ohio Catholic School Accrediting Association and under the direction of the Diocese of Columbus, our fully licensed staff participates in monthly professional development and works to individualize instruction for each student.

Students participate in service projects both at school and through the parish.

St. Mary School provides many opportunities for students to practice their faith. Through daily prayer and religion classes, weekly mass, a strong message of discipleship and participation in traditional Catholic sacraments and feasts, St. Mary students live out their faith. The strong impact of these early experiences in Church activities develops a moral guide for students as they face their future. Faith formation happens through living out the Gospel message.

St. Mary School serves children of Greater Columbus regardless of race, creed, or national origin.

Our Mission

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, we seek to encounter Christ, the Good Shepherd, through liturgy and scripture. We cultivate virtuous, joyful saints and scholars with a love of Truth, Beauty, and Goodness, as to be the salt of the earth and light of the world.

Inspired by our Mother Mary, and rooted in our Catholic faith, the St. Mary community nurtures spiritual growth, academic excellence, a responsibility to self, and service to others.

  • Embracing the common bond that we are all made in the image and likeness of God
  • Students show respect for themselves and others
  • Students seek holiness through understanding and participation in the Catholic faith
  • Through serving others students imitate Christ Guiding students to become problem solvers and analytical thinkers encouraging creativity and a wide variety of interests

  • Every student has the right to lessons at their instructional level: grade level, intervention, remediation, or challenge
