Wow! What an exciting time to be a part of our community. Having the chance to pop into many of the classrooms and lunch was a true joy! I just wanted to thank you all for sending your kids to St. Mary’s for this school year. We are truly blessed to have families committed to sharing the Catholic Faith with their children. We are humbled that you entrust us with caring and educating your most precious gifts. Today our teachers had the privilege of building their initial bonds with your children and to welcome them into their classrooms. I had the chance to go down the slide during kindergarten recess, no I didn’t get stuck, as well as sit and discuss the summer adventures of our 4-8 graders at lunch and I must say that hearing their stories and seeing their smiles was the goal of all the hard work and dedication the entire St. Mary’s staff and the army of volunteers were shooting for on this day.
I do want to make you aware that we will be improving our dismissal procedure starting tomorrow. I do apologize for any confusion at pick-up today and I greatly appreciate your patience as we work out the kinks. In the end our goal is safety for each of our children and dismissal is not a time to let our guard down.
I know that if we continue to build each day upon the foundation that has been laid then this year will be one unlike any other. Please continue to pray for the success of our school and I will have more to share as the first couple weeks move forward.
Praise be Jesus Christ! Blessed Virgin Mary, cause of our Joy, Pray for us!
In Christ,
Mr. Pfeifer
