A welcome from Mr. Pfeifer:
“Gabe joins us from Auburn University and will be teaching our 7th Grade Humanities courses. From the beginning of our conversations, it has been evident that God has been guiding Gabe toward St. Mary. I am confident he will quickly build meaningful relationships with our students. Together, Shane, Gabe, and Julie will form an outstanding Humanities team, helping our students encounter the true, the good, and the beautiful through the study of history, literature, and the great ideas that shape civilization.”
Dear St. Mary’s Community,
My name is Mr. Puthoff, and I am extremely excited and blessed to be your 7th-grade humanities teacher for the 2026/27 school year! I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, and I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in secondary education from Auburn University. In college, I had the incredible opportunity to play wheelchair tennis and wheelchair basketball, which allowed me to travel to all corners of the United States to compete. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, attending sporting events, fishing, and rooting for the Cincinnati Bengals! I am thrilled to join the St. Mary’s community for my first year teaching in the Columbus Archdiocese, and I look forward to a great year of learning and growth together.
